Jan 10, 2009, 8:06 p.m.

Just arrived home from the hospital. When we arrived there today Dad's temp was 102.8. They had just placed him on a cooling pad and turned the temp down in his room to cool his body off. I took a cool rag and was rubbing it on his face and forhead. By the time I left the hospital his temp was 100.2, but I figure it will go back up. His sugar was down to 121 which is very good. The Infectious Disease Dr. was in today and took all kinds of test. I asked the nurse what all they are testing for and she was not even sure... she said he took all kinds of cultures that she had never even heard of...... that is his profession I guess. I pray that something shows up or he can figure something out.

  2. Well - Oh my gosh it worked!!

Hi Henry!! I pray daily that God lifts you up and gives you the strength to endure this time.
I like Joyce Meyers bible and Psalm 23 she translates something like this - Yes, though I walk through the (deep, sunless) valley of the shadow of death, I will fear OR dread no evil for You are with me. Your rod (to protect) and Your staff (to guide), they comfort me. He will protect you!

Phyllis - My heart is with you. Please take care of yourself. Get some rest, eat right. Henry and the boys need your guidance.

Perry and Matt and Mikes - Just remember - at some point all of us have walked through that valley. Where there is a shadow, there must be light - Jesus - and he has promised to be with you always. I ask Him right now to comfort and guide you and know that He is walking with you in every situation.

Thank you so much for putting up this blog. I feel a little closer as I check it several times a day.

Almost forgot - Jody and Charlie. Paul and I are praying for you and Pop! We know this too is a difficult thing.

    Love,

    Aunt Diane
